Canadian Swifties are relieved, given that the 33 year old superstar has announced six shows in Toronto.

Taylor Swift’s stops in Canada have allayed fears that the singer was in Canada during her hugely successful Eras World Tour.

At one point, Justin Trudeau, the prime minister, even made a social media plea to Swift to bring her tour to Canada.

Tickets will go on sale next week for the tour dates, which are slated for November 2024.

Swift revealed the Toronto performances on Thursday morning through social media, along with new US dates in New Orleans, Miami, and Indianapolis.

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era,” she wrote.

On 14 November to 16 November of 2024, and a week later on 21 November to 23 November of the same year, Swift will perform in Toronto.

Swift’s first Canadian tour dates since 2018 will take place. In addition, the composer is the first to do a six-show run at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

Swift has been touring the US since March after originally announcing the Eras Tour, which is her largest stadium tour to date, last year.

Following this announcement, Swift announced additional concert dates in the United Kingdom, European countries, Australia, and Asia; however, Canada was noticeably absent from her itinerary, prompting some fans to worry that Swift was avoiding the country.

In July, Swift received a message from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “I know there are places in Canada that would love to meet you,” he wrote. “Let’s not have another summer like last year. We look forward to seeing you again soon.”

According to data tracker Pollstar, Swift’s Eras Tour is predicted to break concert sales records, with over 100 gigs estimated to bring in $1 billion (£787 million) in revenue.

According to data gathered by Billboard, this would make Swift’s tour the most successful of all time, surpassing Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.
